The assault resulted in the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking area.

Two more people have been arrested in connection with a robbery at Heathrow Airport in which 21 people were injured by what is thought to be an irritant spray, according to police.

A 24-year-old man, was arrested in Lambeth for suspected robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was detained on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. They both remain in custody, the force said.

These detentions come after a probe into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the attack, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their luggage upon exiting a parking garage elevator.

A three-year-old girl was among the those hurt during the incident. A total of five individuals went to hospital for medical care and have since been released.

Officers detained a 31-year-old man on suspicion of theft and assault close to the scene. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.

Police were called at approximately 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding a number of individuals injured by an irritating chemical thought to be an irritant spray.

The attack - which authorities stated was isolated and not being treated as terrorism - resulted in delays to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility for a short time.
